    Hey Todd,

    First, great idea to publish your agenda in advance – gets people thinking about what you’re going to say and allows them to formulate some well thought out questions.

    Second, I very much like your assumptions. They sound like the opening paragraph to the operating manual for a Chamber of Commerce! We have tangible benefits like advertising discounts, events, and resources, but what we really sell is a sense of community. All of these assumptions apply:

    * Be yourself = be true to the purpose of a chamber, stay focused.
    * But it’s not about you = it’s all about the members.
    * Always give value = or no one will renew.
    * Seek to build relationships = with and between your members.
    * Connect people = with each other, that’s the purpose of a chamber.
    * Sustained effort = chambers aren’t built to be sold, they’re build to last as long as the community does.
    * Size doesn’t matter = as long as you’re big enough to be effective.

    * Build community is the main goal!=!!
